MMS Issues

Is anyone else not sending mms pictures at a rate of 100%? I receive just fine. It just doesn't send most of the time. Could be my house and the poor reception. I have to resend it. Sometimes it works right off the bat. Other times it takes multiple tries of sending a picture. Txt are fine. zipping through the airwaves like oil.

I'm not having any trouble. Are you using the stock messaging app or a downloaded app?

(I ask because many users have noted problems using Handcent to send messages of any kind after installing the Android 2.1 update.)

I've used all three. The stock, handcent, and chomp.

I do know of the issue after the 2.1 where you send a txt and it says it failed, but in actuality it was sent. This one is a complete failure.

I've had problems with MMS on verizon using different phones(dumb phones/bberry/droid eris). Doesn't happen every time.

You could try forcing it to make smaller MMS messages (set the maximum message size to 200k or something), since there's a higher probability of it going through with bad reception. Other than that, I'd say it's a Verizon problem.

i cannot send mms on handcent after leak..... and sometimes it says fail on sms even though the sms went thru.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?im using handcent on the leaked 2.1(yes i know ppl have had issues)....if anyone could direct me to help with this it would be much appreciated...:)

Don't believe there is a fix for that running 2.1. Obviously it is not capatable with 2.1. I love Handcent. Hopefully when the OTA comes, they will have it figured out.

No new problems just the same as 1.5 where it compresses the image down to 200x150 something and 11Kb no matter what settings combo I use (camera res v. "max message size). It sucks :/

Well for the txt showing not sent, you can do what caddy said
caddy said:
for txt not sending try a *228 option 2, i would recommended this anyway after the upgrade.

As for images not sending properly on 1.5, that is incorrect. I sent them all the time for the 1 week I had the eris before updating to 2.1. I just needed to be on 3g network instead of wifi.

Are you referring to my post about 1.5 & 2.1 sending mms? Hope not lol

I just realize you used the word compress. None of us are talking about compressing the picture for sending size. I read your post as if you were referring to the ability to send a picture, not about it being compressed.

I referred to both, actually: not having the mentioned problem *sending*, as reference, as well as the continued problem of over compression :)

I haven't had most of the issues of sending a picture that most talk about.
I have however had issues with receiving pictures

receiving or viewing? because ive been having an issue with that blasted 'slideshow' where i open a picture from an MMS and it closes itself in a second or two, before i manage to save it.

Yesterday I reflashed or re-whatever that means to put 2.1 on the phone. Then I *228 it. I sent a picture to my friend who is on the AT&T network with an Iphone and he got it. I used the default messenger. Gonna send different sizes and quality to different networks later today.

receiving...i never have an issue with viewing once it's received
but like i have to try download the pic sent to me like 10 times before it actually works
