Root MMS Media problems LG Motion

Ok so my girlfriend has the LG Motion and she experiences problems when she tries to send pictures to her contacts. For example lets say we take a picture of carpet and she want to send me it...she says that she gets an error message everytime and thus isn't able to her multimedia messages. What can I do? and is there a fix for this? or will I most likely have to send it to metro so that LG can fix the phone if its a hardware problem
 
It's probably the resolution is to big to send, my phone did that with a pic I took and I couldn't send it until I cropped it.
 
When you send pic it auto re-size it and then send it..its a network problem, happen to me recently..Restart the phone and try it again.

Does your girlfriend regularly send you pictures of her carpet? ;)

Seriously though, using something like Root Explorer, try adding this line to the end of the file /system/build.prop
ro.gsm.2nd_data_retries=99, 10000, 10000, 10000, 10000, 10000

REMEMBER TO MAKE A BACKUP FIRST

LOL! I wished but since it doesn't send pictures I don't have any :( :P... Anyways I'll give that a try and when I do the back up how do I go about doing it?
