Help MMS messages refuse to download

Anyone have tips or workarounds? When I receive a picture text (MMS), the photo doesn't download automatically and I'm given a "download" button to fetch it. But most of the time, I get an error and the photo doesn't download. This happens even when wifi is turned off and I'm only on 3G. Any tips?

Is this with the stock messaging app or an app you d/l'd from the marketplace? Handcent doesn't work for mms messages for me, but the stock app works fine as long as I have 3g enabled.

i use to encounter this issue with the intercept. as long as i was connected to wifi, my MMS messages would not download properly. my Optimus as yet to show any problem. wifi or 3g. maybe a powercycle?

If the picture MMS is coming from someone using an IPone it won't work. I don't know if there is a workaround for this problem,but vaguely remember reading about a possible fix.

Doesn't matter if the sender is iPhone or Droid or less-smart phone, if I'm on wifi, regular text messages will come through, but those with attachments will not.
