Help MMS Messaging on Thunderbolt

Preface: Wife and I just moved from iPhone to Thunderbolt, so new to Android and Verizon...

When taking a picture in the Camera application and then trying to send via MMS I am getting very poor picture quality. I have tested this numerous times as my wife has a Thunderbolt as well.

The work around for us has been to save the picture to your gallery and then the picture comes up full quality. Within the Messages app, the quality is horrible.

I am wondering if I send an MMS to another person and they have a different phone/carrier, how is the picture quality? Any solutions to this you have found?

When you do load Handcent (the SMS interface of Handcent should be very familiar to iPhone users), make sure you disable notification of the built-in Message app, but don't delete it. That way you don't get two notifications - one from each app - when you get a text message.
