Root MMS Not downloading

Hi I am currently running ICS CM7 mod with Citibun optimizer and I can't download mms messages over 3g.


Any ideas to fix this?

Our version of CM7 will not DL mms messages with wifi on .


Is your data enabled ??

Is this something that just started ? If so , it may be the network .

Has this been going on since installation of CM7 ?

If it is , you may wanna try re-flashing CM7 .
 
Ya know , come to think of it , I had two that didn't download over the weekend . Crazy thing is , the same person sent 5 , 3 came through and 2 did not . Had him resend the msgs but they still would not download . I just figured that they had become corrupt .

This issue is listed as one of the known issues that comes with the CM7 port. Did you read the notes at all? ;) You would have known this was an issue if you read it before hand.

Still Hoark and a few are working together to try to get this fixed. It's been around for quite some time now. I love CM7 but I had to switch to CTMOD because of this one tiny bug. Once it's resolved I'll be returning back to CM7.

This is not really an issue with CM7 that I am aware

The issue that CM7 was having is that you would have this problem when you are connected to WiFI, but when you are not on WiFI it works fine

Yeah that's the bug I was referring to. My apologies if I wasn't clear enough. I tend to ramble sometimes ;) The bug I was referring to was the one with MMS not working while WIFI is on. One of the only reasons why I haven't fully switched to CM7 yet.

I had the same problem on 2 separate phones. This fix worked both times. Use a file explorer with SU, and navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db and delete that file, then restart your phone. After the restart, you should be able to send and receive MMS
 
I know this thread is older, but I have the same problem and have tried all of the same solutions (shut off wifi/reflashed rom)....

also tried lordvincent's solution but that did not work.

any other ideas or suggestions?
