MMS not threaded

Hey everyone,

So basically recently I've noticed that whenever a friend of mine sends a text to multiple people (i.e. mass text) any responses to that are not threaded.

For example if my friend 'John' sends a text to me and 2 other people saying, something like "hey guys when you want to get dinner?" any responses from my friends appear as individual texts from them, rather than threading the conversation together. It's strange too because two of them have iPhones, one a blackberry, and me with the Atrix and for them the conversation is threaded.

Anyone else experience this/know how to correct?

I've never seen a phone thread SMS conversations from multiple people. Mind you, I've never used an iPhone, but I used SEVERAL Blackberry phones over the years.

The only time I've seen messages from multiple people threaded together was in BlackBerry Messenger. You could link your SMS contacts to a BBM contact. If you had a conversation with multiple contacts CC'd on it, it would thread them there.

As for the Atrix, mine has never combined MMS from multiple contacts into one thread. Neither with the Stock app, or Handcent SMS (my preferred SMS app).
