Help mms problems

So I can't send or receive mms, says generic network failure in notifications, uninstalled all third party apps. Was doing it before I did a factory wipe and rooted, and now after too. Very frustrating. Also tried the *228 reprogramming to no avail. Another weird thing is that right before it fails, in the quick settings it says mobile network off even though its checked on.

Try the mms fix in the second post (I believe) in the xda forum for the Virtuous Unity thread under "development"
I would post a link, but I'm on my phone.
it basically consists of getting an app called apn backup and restore. Then using the apn posted in his thread, or you can restore an old nand backup if you're rooted and use apn backup and restore to backup the apns from a ROM you have run where the mms worked to your SD card and after going back to where you were having the problem you just use the app to "restore" the apn you downloaded or backed up yourself.
reboot
try sending yourself an mms.

That's the thread that has the instructions and the apns. It is the 4th post.
