Help MMS Sending and Receiving Problems

I am having problems with sending and receiving MMS messages. My service provider is CSpire. My phone is a SCH-R760. It is rooted. I have only 2 messaging apps installed which is the stock and Handcent SMS. I can recieve the messages through Handcent, but I cannot download it. I also cannot send an MMS from the Handcent app. It is not the Handcent app because I have tried other SMS/MMS apps such as ChompSMS. Auto-retrieve is turned off on the stock app for MMS. Also, another problem i am having is that GO SMS will not install. It says there is insufficient space, yet there is over 1 gig left. I know it's not space due to the fact I can download other apps even larger than GO SMS. If anyone can help, it will be very appreciated.

Moved to the S2 (Sprint) sub-forum because, afaik, the two devices are identical apart from the USC variant lacking WiMax.

I had this problem on my Alltel galaxy s2. It is an SCH-R760 as well. When I rooted it, I was unable to send/receive mms. Also, my play store wouldn't download any apps that were paid for. I had to ODIN back to stock Gingerbread and root it again. What kernel did you use for the rooting process.
