Help MMS w/ Wi-Fi ON

I had been going nuts, wondering why my MMS msgs (No pics, just long txt's were not sending sometimes), well Isaac pointed out to me that MMS WILL NOT send thru Wi-Fi, and you have to be in 3G network mode.

Same when you receive them, you get a download button, although I am informed I got something, I turn off Wi-Fi, and pow, I get the MMS.

What I'm trying to remember is before I had Icarus, in the stock ROM, if an MMS is sent while in Wi-Fi, dosn't it "Work around" the Wi-Fi and send the message.

Because in Icarus, you actually have to have Wi-Fi Turned OFF before you hit send or it will sit there and not send at all. I end up turning it off, long hold on the nonsender and forward it to the original recipient. Then try to hurry and delete the original. But sometimes they get 2 copies.

Anyway. My friend w/ a Droid, they send w/ WiFi on, But I believe that they "work around and go thru 3G", something about how the carriers track them???

Anyway,
1. Can anyone w/ the stock ROM let me know if the do send when Wi-Fi is on? I just can't remember and am not about to flash back to find out?

2. Any other ideas on workarounds with this...Although it's no big deal to just turn it off and send, but I forget alot....Just curious...

Thanks??

To get mine working I had to fiddle. I am MetroPCS, but the instructions in the instructions in the icarus how-to did not work for me at all(wifi on or off).
In the instructions, it says MMSC: http://mms.metropcs.net:/mmc
I changed mine to: http://mms.metropcs.net:/mmsc

for APN Type I used a wildcard *

Not sure why the guide did not work for me, but it got me close.

***Sorry. I think you are on cricket?

Yea, I'm on Cricket. I guess the Metro Users don't really have this same problem....(I gave you a "Thanks" anyway for all that since I saw you were pretty new, and it was good info)....Thanks...Jeff

I am with cricket, recently rooted. I just tested and I can send an mms with or without wifi turned on.

Don't know if that helps or not.
