Mms?

just wondering - i've been recieving MMS messages from friends and family back home and for some reason whenever i click on 'download' it says that the 'download is unsuccessful'... it happens with people that i know that have verizon and droids too.. i tried the native sms app, chompsms, and handcent but they all do the same thing.. is this a known problem? it sucks not being able to recieve picture messages from my friends, and i can't send outgoing ones either (they download unsuccessful) ... any help on this?

anyone else experience this problem? i noticed that my best friend back home has a droid eris and we cannot open eachothers mms pics -- always 'download unsuccessful' ... sad while im at college and i can't exchange pics with friends back home.

There are multiple "fixes" on there ranging from the *228 update method, changing around some settings, all the way to returning for a new phone.
