I'm conducting a short survey with mobile users from the USA for my dissertation about the use of mobile apps and privacy issues.

I found your survey to be very well thought out.

As I'm quite cautious about which apps I use and permissions I give and as one of my favorite apps is a firewall, I answered that I have lower security concerns.

But - security is everyone's business!

I said no, as I don't use the implied examples.
No social, no maps, no location. Have no need. That's an assumption on the part of the survey that only those type of apps would need location or that everyone would use them.

Now if they did specify any other apps that need location like the weather and astronomical apps - those do get gps.
