Help Mobile data connection problems after a big reset

Liis

Lurker
So I accidentally did a reset factory settings to my phone (Sony Xperia C1505; Android 4.1.1) and of course I hadn't done a backup to all the important data.

The problem is that after the reset I'm not able to establish a mobile data connection (I can't use wifi, so I use mobile data instead.)

I know this is a stupid problem, but maybe you can help me anyways.

How did you "accidentally" do a factory reset?
You need to setup your WiFi just like you did when you took it out of the box.
If that doesn't work, you did more than a factory reset.

I had some issues with apps not loading and I thought it would be best to do somesort of a reset to the phone. (I know it's stupid of me.)

When I set up my internet connection via mobile data at the very first time, my service provider sent me all the necessary settings for internet and MMS automatically. This time i had to send them an empty SMS so they could send me the settings.

Go to mobile network settings, reenter/reset/refresh default values, switch off and on mobile, airplane mode switch off / on,mobile data switch off/ on.

I've solved the problem I had. It was in the service provider settings. Their instructions didn't mention one tiny thing (that was kind of important) and that was it.
