Help Mobile Data ON/OFF

Hi,

1st off I want to apologize if this is in the wrong thread. I thought there was a dedicated 'tasker' thread but I cant find it so I will ask here...

I have had tasker in the past to successfully turn on and turn off my mobile data by using a run shell but for some reason it has stopped functioning.
I have secure settings pro which has the function to turn on/off mobile data when used with tasker but when i set up the command it does nothing. I have enabled secure settings and tasker in device admins.

any help please

with the advent of 5.1.1 you can no longer turn off DATA with an app, you must do it Manually.

However, if the phone is rooted, you can use Tasker or MacroDroid to turn it off for you.
I use MD for that.

ok i have downoloaded this but i can not see how to enable/disable mobile data automatically. can you instruct me please

ummmm, took way too much for granted there.

I just ASSUMED that since the previous sentence told about MacroDroid, that all would know that 'MD' is macrodroid...

when I am home, as I am now, I always include the links.....
but, when away from home using my clunker Linux box, no links, just names.
