Root Mobile Hotspot/Internet Connection Mode doesn't work

Newbie
I rooted and rom'd my phone (Liquid Gingersense 1.5) and it runs perfectly. However, i cannot turn on the mobile hotspot feature, nor can i run internet connection mode (through USB). When i try to access the settings, i get the Error process failed and force close popup. Is it a bad rom? Do i need to do something beforehand? Has verizon blocked it or something? Any help would be great.

Try a different tethering app. I do not think stock tethering apps will work with custom roms. Why it was included? WTFK

I just tried turning it on and it appears it is using the 4g network, don't have time to really test speeds or anything right now

Oh and I'm on v.2.0.7(last stable release version...I havnt tried the new beta version )

I've seen spotty wifi performance out of my phone and I'm not sure if it's just good ole Verizon being 'good ole Verizon'.

I noticed that it doesn't state that it lets you connect to the 4G network. Is it just an omission since 4G isn't as widespread yet?

I believe it will work with whatever you are connected to currently. I have issues with wifi being connected and staying connected on some kernels, I do not know if the issue would also exist if I was trying to tether but I have a feeling it may. So I would suggest perhaps trying a different kernel to see if it helps the performance.
