Mobile network annunciator

Hi all

I only switch Mobile Network on when I need it - to save battery. But when I do I sometimes get an "H" symbol come up, and sometimes a "3G" symbol.

What's the difference? Is one better than the other? And do I have any control over it?

H will be faster, it's HSPDA or something weird like that.

Thanks. Out of interest I Googled it - http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-Speed_Downlink_Packet_Access but I've no idea what it's talking about!
