I am unable to use mobile networking to access my mail, google play and several word game, however I am able to browse the web albeit slowly.

Any thoughts?

Can you elaborate?

Whats is saying your connected to?

Is there and H in the notification bar, or perhaps an E?

I use a cache cleaner at times like that to clear a little junk and that usually does the trick, or have a look at running apps that may be hogging the bandwidth and see if killing them makes any difference.

I take it everything is ok via wi-fi?

As above, Is everything ok via WIFI?

If not and if the problem is specific to Google Apps (Play, Mail and maybe some games that use your Google login), I would try going into settings > accounts and sync > then remove the Gmail account. Reboot the phone, go back into sync settings and set up the Gmail account again.

Thanks for your response,

to eloborate, the applications that do not currently work with mobile network are Whatsapp, Google Play, E-mail,Wordfeud my weather widget. When mobile network connects it has a E above the send/receive arrows. In google play it says "no connection". The other applications do not produce an error.

What about with a WiFi connection, not mobile data connection? Do the apps still error?

Make sure that background data is enabled, think a lot of them will want that.

When i sometimes use a cache cleaner to clear up any junk in the background if my mobile data is running slow, also will run an task cleaner (i know people i know :) ) to quickly close things that may be running and hogging the bandwidth. ( i dont use it a lot as we all know that they are not required as such, but thats a debate for another thread)

Give the above a little try and let us know how it works out.

best of luck.
