Help Mobile Network will not turn off

Every time I hit the mobile network widget it just blinks and won't shut off !!!!! Anyone having similar problems?

There's a setting to force it always to on. Look under Menu > Settings > Networks... It's about 1/2 way down.

I hold the power button and it's an option in the list that pops up.

Didn't know there was a widget.
