Mobile version or full website?

T-Mac

Newbie
I've noticed some websites automatically route to the mobile version, while others go to the full site. Is there rhyme or reason to how this works and is it user controllable?

Which do most people prefer, mobile or full?

I think the site determines that you're using a mobile browser, so if they have on, it'll open by default. You can stop the mobile site from opening:

open browser>menu>more>settings>uncheck "mobile view"

Some sites mobile view is preffered for me. Others however might not work as well. But having things formatted to my screen size is nice.

There is a setting in your browser that says "Mobile View", and it's by default checked. So whenever you visit a site that does have a mobile version, it will automatically go to it. But if you'd rather go to the full version, just uncheck that box and the websites will see your phone as an ordinary browser.

I prefer mobile most of the time because they're usually more streamlined in terms of viewing purposes.

I prefer full versions so I unchecked Mobile View. I feel like mobile sites are suited for basic phones. This great phone can handle full sites :)

However, some sites still come up in Mobile, such as New York Times.

Some sites, such as espn or news, I prefer mobile because I want check it quick and be done with it. Other sites, like graphic oriented websites, I like it full, so that I get the see everything.
