Help Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot

Staceyboo

Lurker
I've had the phone for about four months now and been using the Wi-Fi hotspot quite regularly, but recently it keeps disconnecting itself from my computer, on the menu on the phone it still says that it is on but says no mobile network underneath it, so I went and checked the mobile network and that was definitely on so I tried to turn the hotspot off from the quick settings menu and when I unchecked it, it just said error. So I went straight to the wi-fi hotspot and turned it off there then tried turning it back on, it connected the laptop for around 30 minutes then disconnected me again.
I have unlimited data so I'm guessing its not that.
This has been happening for about five days now and I haven't found anything to help me solve the issue. I'm thinking that I might have to go to the T-Mobile shop to see if they can help, thought I'd put something on here to see if anyone knew anything about it first though.

I've never used the mobile hotspot feature so don't know what to suggest.

You can use the phones network connection via USB, have you tried that?

Sorry for being a bit vague.

Yeah, I've tried tethering it with the USB but that does nothing at all. By computer won't even detect it, it just says something like windows does not recognize this device.
To be honest, I dont really know how that feature works because this is the first time I've tried using it

I don't have any software on my computer for my phone. That might be why its not recognizing it. Do you know where I can get it?

I tried using HTC sync, but when I select htc stnc on the usb menu, it tries to connect for like a minute, but it wont find it. I have no idea what to do :/
