Root [mod] 4g hack

wow I haven't tested 4g yet but I think it upgraded my sms, I used to get 1 bar of service in my house but now I get 2+. Is it just me or is SMS faster too?

I hope virgin mobile doesn't catch us :car:

I'm on the latest midnight and it seems to be working fine. I also did the 3g tweak a few posts down and it went successfully. 3g speed is up with it, tested before and after with speed test. :)

I also found an app in xda that uses both WiFi and mobile data to download! Testing that now :)

Id like to check out the 3g one muhself. Anyone know how to use those ##3424# or ##3282# codes on cyanogenmod.....just realized they dont work. Thanks
 
Does the 3G hack in that thread work? I kind of want to try it but then again I already get good 3G speeds

How do I do the 3g trick on the ltevo? ##3282# doesn't bring up the menu

So I flashed back to a sense rom and upon entering ##3282# and then edit mode (like directions say) I get prompted for a password...?

I think that is your MSL code. And if I'm not mistaken when you flash another ROM those setting will go away and you will have to do it all over again.
 
For 3G, you can also up the speeds on it.
1. Get your MSL, MSL reader in the market
2. After you have your MSL go to your phone and type ##3282#
3. Click Edit Mode
4. Click Advanced
5. Scroll down to HTTP PD Proxy Port & HTTP PD Proxy Address
6. Change HTTP PD Proxy Port to 0 (zero)
7. Change HTTP PD Proxy Address to 0.0.0.0
8. You'll have a .20-.60 mbps increase in 3G speeds

any comments on this? this was on that page also. does it work?

Edit: oh wait this is the 3g tweak. i thought it also was a flashable tweak.

number 5 and 6 dont show up for some reason :confused:.

i can't find numbers 5 and 6. how did you do it?
