Running CM7, rooted
I dslike the stock flat black notification/status bar. So I wanted to mod it.
I copied SystemUI.apk off the phone, and swapped the statusbar_background.9.png out. I made a new one, used pngcrush to compress it, popped it back in the apk using 7 zip, and adb push it to the phone. Reboot, and it works. Kinda.
The image comes out much lighter on the phone than it does on my computer. Any ideas?
Also, what's the difference between SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk? I haven't touched framework-res.apk.
