Model Number on my Desire 816 is wrong

I think thats an internal model number or something. Mine also says 710c. I found it funny because right before getting my 816 I was digging into my son's Galaxy S3. The model for that was SPH-L710.

Sph l710 is the correct model number for the sprint, virgin mobile, and boost S3.

Well it is either: 1.) That is how it's supposed to be, or 2.) It is a very wide-range bug
I say this because everyone seems to have that

That is the model number assigned by the carrier, not the HTC phone model. You'll have have to boot into hboot to see which version( a_chl, a_dug, etc) you have.
