Help modem probs

Hi I'm Ajoy ... A die hard Samsung S2 mobile user.. Have been using this beauty for the past 3 years.. Have rooted the phone and it now runs on cyanfox 2.0.2/ android 4.4.2... However it has now started playing up.. Heating probs.. The phone temp really shoots up if 3G is used regularly or GPS is switched on... My phone tech says power section problem... I feel its the modem that needs overhauling.. S/W part.. Where can I download the OK latest modem drivers...and which is the most suitable one for India??

SamMobile Firmwares Put in your phone's model number (not S2) and look for the ROM for India. Pull out the modem file and Odin it in.

The latest modem+RIL combo for Android 4.1.2, (there is no 4.4.2 official release for 4.4.2), for India is DDLS9.

Download from the link and install as per the instructions in post #1 of the Modems - Dummies Guide
