New EVO attempting internet sharing (use modem). When plug in USB to laptop not getting any notification or dialog box (ex. Internet Sharing). Also tried to start to import music...same scenario USB plug in does not show Disk Drive etc.

For the modem question, you have to pay Sprint's $30 fee to use "Internet Sharing" however there are free 3rd party solutions such as EasyTether and PdaNet.
