Hi guys, currently running KL1 modem (On CheckROM V6) And its okay but I'm just wondering if there's a better modem. I know people will say try them and it varies but I have no time to test them, going on a long journey tomorrow.

So what's the best modem for most people and the most popular one? Which ones give the best battery life, signal and speed?

Also my network is Orange UK if that helps. What's the best one to be using? Or shall I stick with KL1? Also how does it compare to KP8?


Please don't tell me to test as I don't have the time, all I want is some light advice and would like to know what modems you are all using and what networks you are on..

It really is a "try it for yourself" job i'm afraid.
There have been plenty of updates since the version you are on. Lpq, LPR and lps are the current spate, and are as good as any for me.
