Root Modified Flash for Hulu on Droid X?

Done! Root Explorer done the trick, Hulu.com is a GO!! Performance is very poor though, 2/3 fps tops. Any tips on getting better performance?

Yeah I agree, although we got Hulu working now, it's so slow that it's basically unwatchable. But it looks as if Hulu plus for Android is just around the corner.. We may have to wait for that.

Can someone help me out? I'm rooted and everything, and am trying to copy the .so file to the /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/ location. The location does not exist when looking through windows file explorer. Can someone please give me steps on how to find this folder? I have done everything else step by step. I have flash installed, but wiped data in titanium backup like it said. Thanks in advance this is frustrating me.

Hulu.com at 360p is pretty smooth for me even though it does stutter occasionally. I found that full-screen playback is actually much better than in-browser playback.

But then again, I am overclocked at 1.2 GHz, so that might having something to do with it too.

When you say "windows file explorer," do you mean you're trying to find it while your Droid X is connected through USB to your computer? If so, then yes it won't show up. I would use the Root Explorer app from your phone.

Thanks!! I got Hulu working in the Dolphin HD browser. I watched an episode of Simpsons, and the quality was surprisingly great compared to what others said in this thread.

I have found that I get better results watching shows on the Hulu program itself instead of watching it on the browser. I have watched several shows with little to no problems at all this way. If you need the .apk there is a link on the first post over at mydroidworld which the OP has the link to.

After I do this I get to see the ads but nothing after that, I have the latest flash player and put that file in the correct folder anything else that might be causing this not to work? I've also restarted my phone

I didn't know about hulu working until today. Just tried it and it works!

Did you do the original about:debug, then click the menu button -> settings and change the uastring to desktop?

If you go into setting and don't see the option for uastring, you have to do the about:debug. When the setting isn't in the menu, it won't work. You have to do this every time you run the browser.

Also, I tried the hulu.apk and highly recommend it.

I use Dolphin and keep it in desktop mode, I did toggle it off and on but no luck. I tried the app too, both ways I see the ads and then its just black with the network logo.

the flash version that i have is v10.1.105.7

how can i downgrade it? I've tried OP's method and I still couldn't get it to work. the screen where the video is supposed to be played stays black, but the website opens up just fine.

is v10.1.105.7 the update off of v10.1.105.6??
