Good news, all the roms that I tried were not the cause of the battery problem. With neatrom I was still getting the battery issue but I finally fixed it with a Samsung utility that seems to be hidden in the Samsung base: using the phone dial pad I dialed the sequence *#0228# which brought up the Battery diagnostics menu. I pressed the Quick Start key and voila: the battery level dropped to 10% and I've been invited to charge the battery which I did. When I woke up this morning the battery level was at a 100% and it stayed there when I removed the charger.
I installed the application BetterBattery stats and monitored the battery. The battery is now back to normal and the discharge rate is at 1.8% per hour. The phone is going in deep sleep which is finally normal. So if somebody with the same phone as me has the same issue, DO NOT BUY A BATTERY!!!. Install a Samsung base rom and do the same thing I did!
Now I can go back to Biftor! Yahoo! Not that I don't like Neatrom but I don't have a lot of customization in it.
