Root *MODS please answer* would if be possible??

since some links to files dont work anymore because the contents have been removed by whomever uploaded them or for whatever other reason, would it be possible for the those to have downloaded the files when they were up to upload them somewhere so others have access to them?? i guess this question is for MODS but i simply want to keep the files alive so they arent lost for whatever reason. ive search for samsung admire forums and this is the ONLY good one, i wouldnt want it to die.

i dont necessarily need any files, im happy with how my admire currently is OC MONSTER 5.3 ICS THEME . im simply saying that if anyone has the files that are missing then we should post them so so others who dont have them have access to them. not having the files available kind of hinders the experience here. get what i mean? there should be a thread dedicated to restoring those lost files. like i have the stock++ files and i could post those up and if anyone has others then they could post those up...

yea i think thats pirating technically, but then again he doesnt get paid for this

thats why im asking, but considering android is open source unlike apple then is there really any pirating going on?? and being the files are for android then wouldnt they be considered open source? i really dont want to start anything unnecessary im only wondering if its okay to do so and if its not them ill drop it

Yeah... pretty much sums it up above.

Yes, android IS about open source but that doesn't mean that everything is free and available to take and share without the consent of the author (in this case req0). If you've got the files still, awesome!

They are/were his work and he has every right to take them down if that's what he chooses to do.

We politely request that anyone who has the files keep them for themselves and not use the forums to distribute them.


If anyone is still in touch with req0 and gets the ok to mirror them for all, that'll be completely fine.
