Help Moment 2.1 Update Thread

Hey Linc! Can you do a video of adding shortcuts to the side drawer to carry to all homescreens? or is this a root only feature?

chill out dude, all I meant was if the 2.1 update was ready it would have been released

No. I guess that is what is missing. I was wanting to wait til the N1 launcher was out. I guess I need to try it out though!
 
MomentMan - yes picasa support is a go

latinmaxima - if you are talking about how i have the icons at the bottom beside the slider then its a feature of helixlauncher. instead of dragging them to delete them you drag them to the left or right of the trashcan and it shouldn't require root.

I have had DD03 since the moment it was leaked. I have had absolutely none of the problems others have had. BT streaming works great and swiping is vastly improved. The market apps I had purchased showed up in the market and I was able to download and use them all. I am very pleased so far.

So for you 2.1 users have any of the problems you initially had with the phone gone or no? also has the speed of the phone increased?
 
One other question If I update to 2.1 and the official 2.1 comes out, can I do a direct update to that or do I have to flash back to 1.5 first?

Try to find Locale Autokill Plugin.
 
The streaming fix works and....PANDORA WORKS PERFECTLY! No skips, pops, hesitations, etc...... AWESOME!

Some are gone, some are still there, and there are also some new problems.:o So as a whole it hasn't improved a that much. I won't go back to 1.5, but I'm certainly looking forward to the official release.

You'll need to flash back to 1.5. But once you see how easy it is after the first time, it will not be a problem.
 
is their really any point to posting so many threads on the same topic? we all know the official sprint 2.1 update is not available yet, so why post that its the 9th of april and no 2.1 yet multiple times and other threads pertaining to the same thing. I wangt this update just like everybody else does but I have patience. other people should exercise some too. their are other things we can be discussing other than this update topic that clogs up the forum.
 
still on 1.5, for some reason I cannot get my phone into recovery mode, I am holding vol down, send, and end, all I get is the samsung in the middle of the screen and a status bar that moves from left to right

Do you mean download mode? Volume Down+Camera+End?

Flash is not coming to the moment thankfully! The only downfall is flash games which would drain the hell outta the battery.
 
Aren't you discussing that there are to many 2.1 threads threads? Therefore you are discussing 2.1?

Yes. Try Down Vol End Call/Power than Camera button and hold until it boots to get into Download mode... Recovery Mode is Down Vol Phone Button and (hold this button last)Power/End Call Button and Hold them down all the way through the boot cycle (than you should see the blue recovery mode--hit the middle button(trackball)to 'reboot now' If you can't do that you probably don't have CL14 update(or you are doing something wrong)Hope this helps...

Yes it seems that most of the problems are gone(I have none/zero/nada). Yes it is faster... and I am still not rooted...just trying to report what it is like to be a normal user

x2! I also think alot of the rooting of 2.1 stuff needs to be moved the the root forum though! It is awesome we have the leaked version. Alot of root stuff is being discussed though in the regular threads. That can be moved or some of these merged.
