Moon on the clock widget

[DangerousSnails]

Does anyone know whether or not the moon on the default HTC clock/weather widget shows the current moon phase or not? It seems to match up just now but that might just be coincidence. Would be a really cool extra if it didn't already.

No it doesn't.
However there is an app for moon phases, and Google Sky for showing the night sky just by holding the phone up.

Shame, they've missed a trick there. The moon phase widget is a bit cumbersome, would be nice to just have it included in the clock.

I've just posted the result of moonphase widget investigations.

New Moon images look not nice. It's difficult to make a good picture of them on all backgrounds. Probably HTC selected the best possible picture for their clock.

Though there are many FREE widgets helping us to solve the problem

I'm using 'moonphase pro' payware, unfortunately, but it has a brilliant live wallpaper option that shows the current phase of the moon.

It also has a nice selection of good desktop widgets too.
