Does anyone have any ideas about this. I am looking for what possible alternatives there are WITHOUT rooting!
Bought phone in March. It lost LOTS of memory after installing apps (I went from 23Mb to less than 1!!!)
I followed the "force apps to sd card without root" option and gain a few meg. I then lost loads of memory again.
I deleted application data and all caches and then I wiped the partition cache and gained a bit but I had still lost 20Mb+ somewhere even though NO apps had been installed, Facebook deleted and contacts were as normal.
Then some brilliant person suggested clearing the error log and my phone went to 38Mb!!!! Hooray. This is how it has been for 6 months will no problems whatsoever! However I am now getting low memory warnings again. I have done all the above steps without gaining a single meg! Any other ideas as to where it has gone? Yes I know rooting is the answer - I don't have time for that at present. Is has worked fine so far so anyway know what else can be cleared, wiped or changed without a factory reset.
