Hi again.
Originally when I got the two "paired" I could make phone calls, look at call history, load the phone book, and all these "super things".
My older phone didn't support a lot of those functions.
This is a HTC - super new with all the bells and whistles - it should give all the options.
Sure it does/did. (Note: DID!)
Alas two things have happened:
1 - I have updated the GPS's software.
2 - Maybe something has happened with the phone's Bluetooth, as before my first post WRT Bluetooth, it worked. The bluetooth problem happened and I didn't really test/check if it was still working. So, it is an unknown.
I have unpaired and re-paired and the seem ok.
But my initial "discovery" that there was a problem was then I made a call from the GPS and the person answered, I didn't get the audio through the GPS's speaker nor did the microphone on the GPS work for me talking.
So it defeated the "hands free" functionallity.
