Let me say first of all that this is about the mobile web version of Facebook, not the app. I removed the app a few weeks ago because it was simply taking up too much room with all its data and cache. Plus I was fed up with the app not showing all the items in my news feed.

The mobile web version of FB does not omit anything from my news feed, which is pleasing. However I am finding that whenever I have gone into a news item and then want to go back to the main news feed - either by tapping on the "Back button" in the top left corner, or by pressing the phone's back button - this is taking me completely out of FB and back to my phone's home page (in my case, the HTC web page). The last few days however it has started doing something even more irritating - it is taking me back to my main news feed, but to how my news feed looked about a week ago. It takes me back to the same point with the same news items every time, and I have to reload the page to bring up my up to date news feed.

I have tried rebooting my phone, deleting the web cache etc, but to no avail. Does anybody know how to make the mobile web version of FB behave properly? I get this with no other web site on my phone. I am seriously considering going back to the app, but this will depend on how much space I would be left with once I have Gingerbread.

Thanks for any help.

Try friendcaster?

I use that, however I'm having the same issues with posts missing. It is however better than the Facebook app for checking in, uploading pics, etc etc so if I want to see the news feed I go to the mobile site, or if I want to do anything else like check notifications, check in, etc then I use Friendcaster.
