Ive had my HTC desire 2 years and never had any problems with it. My phone was out of juice this morning and just sat on my bedside table. All of a sudden it started trying to turn itself on and failing as there wasnt enough power in the battery. Eventually it stopped as I assume the battery went completely dead.
When I put it on to charge it started up straight away and now I cant lock the phone with the power button or bring up the turn off menu. Its as if the power button is permenantly on as If I take the battery out the phone starts up as soon as I reinsert the battery.
I dont think the power button is physically stuck down as I can press it and hear a little click.
I know after looking online the desire seems to suffer from a lot of power button issues.
I have a One X arriving on Monday so its not the end of the world but I would like to try and fix this issue so i can use my desire as a backup phone.
Any Ideas?
