Help More SIM Card Madness!!

His post says nothing about HSPA+ sim cards--Just LTE. Inspire doesn't have LTE, so it doesn't need a new sim.

That's what I think (and "argued" in that thread), but apparently there are some that still claim that you need a new SIM to realize HSPA+ speeds on the Inspire.

Today I went to my local Corporate A&T Store in Covington, TN to get the "new sim" and compare it to the current 3G sim - Results absolutely no difference in up or download speeds, or signal strength.. zero, zippo, notta.
Now maybe when backhaul is up and running there might be a difference that would require you to have this "sim" but currently you will not see a benefit unless you are in an area that AT&T has deployed backhaul (my guess)

I had the 3G sim card for 2 days, super slow, SpeedTest horrible speeds. I said "WTF", went into ATT, they apologized profusely, brought a new SIM card out. Speeds, up to 2.7MBPS now vs. 700kb or so before.

Some people talk about no difference, but my real life experience makes me agree with me. :)

I called a ATT Corp store, the guy had no clue but said come in. I think the manager was the only person that knew anything about the memo.
They switched the sims, no speed difference and no network difference.

Standing outside the store I got 1 bar...
