Help more then one txt message

I just got my son and I the Huawei Ascend from Cricket. 75% or more of the time when he texts me I get his text 2-4 times with in a few min of each one. I even DEL the message thred and I will still get another. Any one have any advice?
 
That happenes with all the time with every Cricket phone I've ever had. Its just a cricket service thing i guess.:o
