More updates on VZ's 'SECRET' list ....

So, I thought I would share this. I was at a VZ store tonight talking to the young rep about the TBolt and the update. Their displays do not yet have the update either. And after chatting awhile and 'wearing him down' ... he told me that there is a *NOTE* on their system to NOT give their list of updates to customers .... I explained to him that the 'list' is already published on their very sight... So after more of my charming chat (haha) seens he had his trusty little computer that he walks around with with him, he showed me the list quick,... and interestingly I could see the list was 'longer' than the one published. Unfortunately I don't have a photographic memory and I only saw it for a few moments, however, my eyes did focus right in on the video recording volume fix ..... I just thought it odd, that being so well known of an issue, that, that wouldn't be listed on there 'public' list of updates..... why NOT list ALL of the issues being addressed ??? ... and why the note to NOT show customers .... ???

Also, for what its worth, we also talked about the Charge for a bit, which is still snuggly stored away in their back room ... he said he played with it for a bit, and other than the VERY nice BRIGHT screen, and the physical buttons,.... he said he personally would still choose the TBolt all day long..... again, for what its worth.
 
haha..... true.... BUT ... it still listed the video volume fix... which is not on the official list ... just thought that odd is all ... and why the dont show 'note' . .. it looked like about 12-15 things listed ...

I'm actually surprised that it seems nobody today has received the update ..... VZ is becoming synonymous with DELAYS ... !!! ... its getting old...
 
Why would a company who wanted to sell phones list all the things wrong with the phone? Would you buy a phone that had a 6 page list of things that needed tweeking or fixing? The goal is to sell phones, not inform a bunch of gadget nerds. Half the stuff on the list I didn't even know need to be fixed, and I already own the phone.

Common sense people.

^^This..It would be embarrassing for them to fully admit they released a phone with so many bugs. T-mobile would have a field day like they did when the Verizon 4G system went down for almost a whole day... Regardless I love my TB
 
The lists tend to be longer and not consumer friendly. I have seen them before. its a lot of little BS things generally. I wouldnt be surprised if it was a full page or more. they mean more to a tester generally that has submitted bugs and such so they can see if what they submitted might be fixed

Some people do this to emphasize the fact that they paused or were bored (not excited) when they talked. "Talked". This is them conveying emotion over text. My girlfriend does this all the time and i tease the crap out of her for it. Dot dot dot
 
pics --- I agree, I was kicking myself in the ass when I got home for not even thinking then and there to try and snap a quick pic ....

'periods' ... seriously.....???... that actually bothers people ??? ... yes, I do it to either show a pause/break and/or emphasis on something which I feel gives reading black words on a white screen a bit more personality/emotion/clarity/directed emphasis,... and rather than the text being all 'mushed' together, I find breaking it up a bit makes it .....easier.... to read .... not harder .... :)

and on a more important note, has anyone gotten the dang update yet ???, I would just like to hear a detailed review of all of the 'fixes' ... For those of you that have the 'leaked' version, unless I have missed it, (and I apologize if I did) I haven't really seen any detailed feedback on the 'success' of the 'fixes' ?

But OT... (see what I did there? :)) I think that this is common throughout the industry. You'll see something like "other minor performance tweaks" or some sort of buzz word BS listed for some of the updates. What they really mean is "other annoying bugs people have been bitching about." No one wants to publish a list where there are 100 things corrected, so they list the notable ones that are common public knowledge (sometimes even ones that aren't that well known) and then just fix a bunch of the little stuff along with the big changes.
