Quality control doesn't come from more mass production of a product it comes from what sweatshop the manufacturer has actually assembled the product and the quality of materials they use for the details of the product. Just imagine HTC could have paid for a casing that was slightly more rigid, a little thicker plastic for the bottom plastic where light leaks and better glue for assembly and most the quality issues would be solved. On top of that if they chose to use a shop who paid the laborers a few cents more weekly for assembly then there wouldn't be quality issues but the way the entire system is set up is the contracts go to the lowest bidders and as the old saying goes stout get what you pay for
