Root Most up-to-date stable ics or better rom please....

natedisme

Newbie
hi nate here,

I am new to ths forum so any advice on navigating it and getting the info/links,etc that i need would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the best, most, reliable, least buggie, most stable 4.0 or better rom for my optimus v....

from what i have read so far the kraven cold as ice gets a lot of praise as the best most stable one so far (please correct me if im wrong or have outdated info).... that being said does anyone know where and how to get the link to the newest updated version, if i need gapps or not, and where to get the correct gapps file?

I am currently running quatrimus ics but it does tend to reboot occasionally well actually about 1-3 times a day, not sure if my gapps pack is the correct one for ths flash either because i couldn't get the gapps file from same location and the battery drains really quickly.

so in a summary lol..... where to get the most stable, best working, rom and gapps pack combnation.... thank you again.

The newest MiRaGe, which is a Gingerbread ROM, is the most stable and secure ROM for the V. I'm using the Interactive governor with the CPU set at 480MHz min and 768MHz max.

I'm using Link2SD, and between it and the ROM there is practically no lag when opening apps. The 3D Gallery actually works, and works better than Quick Pic
Also: With Link2SD I have over 80 downloaded apps and still have 120MB of internal storage left.
I use Android System Info to monitor my RAM (as well as quite a few other areas of my phone) and if it gets below 50% I run Fast Reboot (closes all apps and opens back up only those that need to be) to free up some RAM.
Once a week I run a couple of cache cleaners to free up more RAM.
With the RAM above 50% this MiRaGe ROM is a monster.

I'll be here until VM gets 4G LTE in my town ( probably two more years).
I bought a friends used V and will use it if this one ever gives out.
Where are you hanging out now? I had seen some of your post oved at the Rise forum (was helping a friend with their Rise).
