Root Motion build.prop tweaks?

Few ppl keep saying that my txts code are wrong but so far no damages on my beast...
So im gonna split the tweaks by classifications so we can all knw what are they are for.

The bulk of the differences were firmware/app versions. The few minor differences were the corrected spellings that jon pointed out in his post. True instead of tru, false instead of falce. Another minor difference was volume steps and default volume. Your's were maxed klryl where as it looks like jon's are default.

The HUGE difference between the two though were jon's file has this missing completely.

I would really recommend getting notepad++ and comparing stock build.prop to your builds. That way if there are any other misspellings/etc you can see them right away.

What was the sysclt.conf file needed for? A)Like other people said I don't have that file (running stock ICS ver f) and B)I can just make the changes to build.prop and that's it? Do a reboot and changes are in effect? Thanks for the help guys.

Really interesting site I found while looking around online at build.prop tweaks. It's in two parts. He said he was going to make a part three but it still hasn't happened. What I gather is that from a coding stand point that MOST (not all) build.prop tweaks don't do any good. (If something doesn't exist then pointing at it won't do you any good) Most of this goes over my head as I never was very good ad coding. (Entirely too tedious and boring for me) Interested in what you all have to say though.

ok i am messeng with this
this is a build prop thread. but really its useless to put every tweak in the prop.
i wish it was that easy
so i made sysctl.conf with a few net tweaks,
loaded them with terminal and was cool
after boot its back to normal

so this is my question
is sysctl loading my settings from the conf ... then being overwritten by something afterwards
which i would need to load the conf a little later in the bootup
or do i need to bind or link sysctl to sysctl.conf to get loading upon boot.

Ur foldesr has to change onwner to root..,permissions rw-r-r..on file txt forsticky

This may seem very agressive
From what i can tell these are settings from version c
Which quickly get changed by 228 or ota
So far works well
I can see why metro didnt like

net.ipv4.tcp_rmem = 4096 221184 3461120
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 4096 221184 3461120
net.ipv4.tcp_mem = 3461120 3461120

Ifconfig logs show zero for
Dropped
Overrun
Erors
Collisions

Here is something else to play with in the way of netspeed
And can be done in build prop
Somewhere is a line for
Mtu
Probably set sonething like 1428
Try 1500

Is this added to the build.prop?

Yes it can be added in the build proo
But that quote is written for sysctl
To add to build prop it has to be written different

net.tcp.buffersize
default=4096,221184,3461120,4096,221184,3461120

That should be be correct to add to your build prop
Give that a shot..
Let me know how it works we can scale it down if needed
People get different speeds from metro in different states and areas.

Hey rhino... How it's going... I did the 1500 on mtu
Did see a bit difference... I s anything else i need to change on MNT or other for it to scan faster the sd

Thanks. Looking into the mtu part as well.

Yeah i was starting a thread for stuff like that but thought it was a waste of time so i stopped
Do you have initd setup?

http://db.tt/SWOhZtpn

I think redahead is 128k. Stock
For both sd
This file is 12000k internal
About 6144K for external
Try that
I have class10 ext sd
The 6144 is good for my card
Scans at boot fast and when i jump to spots in movies is fast
Let me know if need to scake up or down i have more
Or you can modify the file

Ps. That sd cache file above should wirk in bootbuddy folder if you use that instead
Anothet ps
This file sets permissions for initd to tun properly. Incase you dont have it

And u use those for..???
here is A.tuner juz copy n merge
change permission n owner to app

Okie.. Im on stock F with few adjustment.

Any reason why there's a delay in the network response time on this phone? This happens on 4g as well as my fast wifi at home.

@krlyPumma
That wont matter
The readahead cache for both sd is the same for all firmwares.
The internal sd read properties are very fast
I cant determine the exact rate but found 128k is like a crawl compared to its capabiltyand that goes for all motiions
Now the ext sd can vary greatly by what sd card each one has
I have an class 10 sandisc pro ultimate or something like that .it reads fast,
We may need tone down readahead depending on yours

And the other guy i am not sure what delayed network means.
