Motion vs. Connect- quick question

I'm looking at phones for my son, I noticed that the Motion and the Connect both have a price of $149 right now. Between the 2 phones which one would you choose considering they're both the same price?

Motion I had the connect before the motion & in my opinion motion is better

So the smaller screen didn't make that much of a difference? If you don't mind me asking, what do you like better with the Motion

the connect does have a better screen in size 4inch and definition.the motion screen 3.5inch. the connect has a dual core 1.2ghz sd s3 chip set. the motion has a dual core 1.5ghz sd s4 chip set. the connect gb 2.3.6. the motion ics 4.01. the motion locked boot-loader .the connect unlocked so really it all depends on what is important to you. hope this helped

If you want to root and flash custom roms or need a 4" screen thats more clear than the Motion, then pick the Connect. But if you want a better dual core processor, a gigabyte more memory and ICS, then the Motion is the way to go.

I answered the same over in the Connect forum

its just over 3 gigabytes more memory not a gigabyte more memory.

Smaller screen took time to get used to at first but what you lose with the screen makes up double with performance + battery life

They both have a dual core 1.5, the motion has a little faster RAM and graphics chip. But the screen on the Connect is WAY better, better resolution, bigger (and IMO the perfect size) and has a tighter ppi. ICS might be a little faster out of the box, but the Connect has more dev support and with some simple tweaks (not even overclocking either) it was just as fast as the Motion. I have owned both and if they were both the same price I would DEFINITELY go back to the Connect.

Just run a benchmark on both device's, the Motion is twice as fast as the Connect, Snapdragon S3 vs Snapdragon S4, no contest....

If you don't mind me asking, how old is your son?

Smaller hands and bigger screens/phones tend to equal dropped phones.

Either way, I would sacrifice screen size for the better phone.
