Motion vs SGSIII vs Admire 4G?

Hello all

I would like to get the Motion or the SGSIII. Stupid question but, Which is better? Should I get the Motion for now and sell it later to get the SGSIII? Or should I wait for the Admire 4G? Whats you opinion/experinces?

Motion meet my needs, I dont need to pay $500+ tax. Its more of, if you want Acura over Honda questions. Stay away from Admire.

OK.

So just the other day I see the Motion's screen is the same size (from what I heard) as the Iphonie 4S.

It sounds to me like the Motion is the better phone of those 2 and it's $140 shipped from Wirefly.

How much more of a no brainer (for me anyway) does it need to be than that?

No brainer? no brainer!
Have you seen that S3 screen.
It's like paper.
Glare reduced to a minimum, pure black, vibrant colors...
Expansive screen real estate, incredibly wide viewing angles...
Smooth gorilla glass II...

hmmm hum! Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my neck and shoulders...

But yeah, if you're strapped for cash: LG Motion
If cash is not a hindrance: SGSIII
all other choices are moot.

Lol! Well, I think I'm decided, LG Motion it is! Thank you all for answering :D

Edit: Motion is VoLTE right?

Buy the Motion and wait until is S3 climbs down from that huge mountain of money its on right now and then buy one.

Nothing wrong with buying a device behind everyone else. You dont have to be cool just to have the newest(kinda newest).

I bought my Gnex a month ago and pai $350 for it. 1 year ago it was $799 straight from Verizon. Verizon is selling it for $239 now. Yeah, need I say more? lol. And the Gnex is still one of the best phones out.

except...the Gnex HAS been available for $399 unlocked at the playstore for over 6 months now...i'd pay the extra $50 just to not have a so outdated phone(not that the Gnex is old and obsolete, in fact it probably has the best development out there as any Nexus device does) but at the end of the day it is what it is, i dont justify buying something too late just to save alot of money because by that time you oay for what its worth at the time
i feel you on the waiting though, it is hands down wisest/smartest thing to do, but in the case of us who got the GS3 last saturday for ~$550 i guess we can say it was both worth it and had a reason to, because if not there would be no point in getting it later down, because we'd be waiting for metro's NEXT thing, and depending how you look at things and the use youll be giving the phone, there might in fact be an issue with buying a phone further outdated, if not then yeah you shouldnt see anything wrong with not getting the phone at its earliest avaiability, specially if you dont have the funds. and i guess us that got it got the needs and means to get it now, technology advances too quickly, and that means alot of money goes to waste, because buying technology is never an investment(maybe personally), it is instead an expenditure, because it looses value by the day, but i guess if i didnt have the means to get the S3 now, i would hop on a motion for a month or 2, until metro drops the price and maybe a rebate, or wait until something comes up on CL.
i personally try NEVER to buy things full price, but when i do, best believe theyre worth it, because theyre an investment, rarely personal too lol

the LG connect was my first smartphone and 4th phone i had bought in a little under 2 years(3 dumbphones previously). i was able to sell my connect to pay for the motion along with my ipod touch, so going from the connect to the motion was a free swap for me on top of putting a bit of money in my pocket and this would've been the case even without selling my itouch.

the motion obliterates any phone metro has ever had in every aspect. it even gives the S3 a run for its money as far as performance. you can charge the motion from 5% to 100% in 2 hours.

whats obsolete or not depends on the user in what they want to be able to do with their phone.

the admire 4g would have to have ICS or be under $100 flat to be a worthwhile option.

I upgraded to the motion from my rooted esteeme. I love the motion, it does everything my riited esteem did without being rooted. As for the SIII, i like the technology and how advanved it is, but i am among the people who cant spend 500 or more on a phone. I agree with the guy above when he says. LG Motion if you are straped for cash, but if you can spend the 500 bucks i say go for it.

Actually I'd say it's more like comparing a Bentley to a Honda. Once you have spent a couple of hours with one for a while you'd understand. All the little nuances about the phone give off a "luxury" feel...it doesn't feel like "just another Android phone" to be honest. And I'm not saying that cause I just blew $499 on one LOL.

Denial is a powerful remorse killer, lol!
I decided to block any possible remorse feelings from coming up about my phone long ago.
But I feel you, man. $500 is no joke to drop on a phone at once. But I tell myself everyday, I saved TWICE that much by not being on a pricy contract. :)

I look at it this way. I spent $500 on a phone, but dropped to the $30 promotional plan sooo I'm saving $30 a month from my $60 plan, I'll have saved enough money in 16 months to justify the price of the GS3.
I have WiFi so I don't worry about 250mb data.

Motion has volte

Edit: I believe the Motion and the sg3 have the same processor

You are way wrong on the processors. Yes, both have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Motion has the 1.2GHz dual core. This processor is and older cpu that I believe was also in the Evo 3d and HTC Sensation. Not sure on that one.

The SGS3 on the other hand, has Qualcomm's latest dual-core processor, the Snapdragon S4. It is clocked at 1.5GHz, and when it comes to raw power and performance, the cpu in the S3 will run circles around that found in the motion.

The only reason the Motion performs so smoothly is because of the resolution. It isn't even WVGA resolution. Yes, the Motion has the same size screen as the iPhonie 4s, however it doesn't even pack half as many pixels. The resolution is very low, which doesn't demand anywhere near the horsepower that the 720p screen found on the S3 requires. Also, if you want something that will last the long haul, just cough up the cash for the S3. It will last much longer as it is more future proof than the Motion. Also, I just updated my wife's S3 on Sprint to Jelly Bean. That should show that it won't take long for Metro to push the update out. The S3 is by far the best phone MetroPCS offers.

Both phones have snapdragon S4s.

The gs3 wins out in screen size, screen resolution, and features like s beam, smartstay, video thumbnail view, and many others.

The gs3 is well worth its price tag but the motion is still an incredible phone for an incredible price.

This is true and most of the motions are clocked at 1.5 ghz so I don't know where you get your information nemesys06lmao. :p

Sent from my typewriter.

For proof that this phone is indeed clocked at 1.5:
