Moto Atrix and lack of Gyroscope. Is it a problem?

ok so here is my dilema....
Upgrade soon and am pretty sure I will go for the Motorola Atrix but The Samsung Galaxy S2 my second choice.

Not worried about camera or slight screen differences but the one thing niggling is the lack of Gyroscope.

Now I know it is used in screen rotation in mobile devices and also the GPS, but I read on the forum GPS is great and the screen rotation is fine.

What common smart phone features will it effect by not having a Gyroscope?

also a bit of a side step but, is it worth taking a closer look at the Galaxy s2 for its NFC?

Well, the lack of a gyro really hasnt made a noticable difference for me. I believe it is primarily used by the GPS/compass to help detect which way your phone is facing. Like it your phone was flat (horizontal) the top of the phone would be the north marker you would see on a compass, or the top (north of your maP). However, when you tilt the phone on its vertical axis the "compas north" would no longer be the top of the phone since it would be pointed towards the sky instead of a direction.

I believe some games my use it too, but I havent notice anything different on any of the games I play.

Well, for me, I rather not have NFC, Im just not keen on the possibility of people or machines being able to access person info by just being "close" to me. But if swping your phone accross the thing at the checkout line to pay for your pizza and 6 pack sounds cool to you.. then more power to ya.
