Root Moto Droid Theme question

[mtgpcs]

Okay so right now im on froyo 2.2 and running a team chaos theme well i decided to go and try a chevyno1 simply stunning 4.4 theme and it installs fine with out a issue but for some reason it does not sync with my gmail account or google account for that matter if i go under accounts and sync in the settings and hit add it doesnt give me the option to add my google account if i click the gmail app it says that i have to add the account under accounts and sync. so my question is how do i enable it for google sync if its not there. side note when i went from team chaos to chevy i tried without a wipe, so i thought a wipe data would work and i tried that but it would not boot. all this is done under rom manager
