My sons phone has stopped charging, looks a bit battered around the charging hole so hes probably been gnawing it or something. Anyway how would I go about getting it repaired and roughly how much should it cost? Phone was still working fine but just no connection when you plug charger in. Thanks.

Maybe the socket is just clogged? A wooden toothpick and compressed air can sometimes fix that.
Are you sure the charger and cable are working properly? Test them with another phone.
