Moto G flip cover magnetic switch

Ocelot

Newbie
Greetings, I'm new here - and am hoping for some info on the magnetic switch near the "volume down" button on my 3013 Moto G. I bought a Great Shield Flip case for it, thinking it would be similar to my Poetic folio case for my Nexus 7 (has a reed switch or hall effect sensor thatthe flip case activates to put it to "sleep" when the cover closes.)
I'd like to by a small unobtrusive magnet to apply to the outside of the new case door on the moto g to enable this same feature.
However, I don't know what type of magnet to use.
KJ magnetics ( http://www.kjmagnetics.com/ )seems to have a large enough selections of various magnets - but I'm unsure as to the size/grade required to work.

Anybody here have any ideas?

No worries, I loaded up Gravity Screen - does everything I want and almost no extra battery drain while running.
In fact, I'm quite sure that the little bit of battery drain easily offsets the added drain from "not having the screen shut down" until it times out.

There's also an app i used to use called "flip case control" but gravity screen is excellent :thumbsupdroid:
EDIT flip case control seems to have been removed from play

My old case "protected" my moto g in a fall and the case broke - G didn't break.
I now have a new case, same kind as before, but this one has the magnet in question.
