Help Moto G Hotspot help

I use boost mobile. I have the Motorola Moto G on the prepaid $55 a month unlimited talk/text/data. I'm wanting to set up my mobile hotspot but it won't allow me. Is it because my phone is only 3g?

It could be because Boost doesn't allow tethering unless you pay extra for it.

Is there a way to root it?

Tethering on boost is a violation of there terms of service. Not saying it can't be done but if they catch it they can turn off service. Plus tethering on sprints 3g speeds can't be a pleasant experience lol i guess if its you only option it would at least work.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about sprints 3g. It was really just a last ditch effort.

Yeah you do have to pay extra. Its like $10 a month for tethering advantages.

Maybe when I take it down to $40 I will get this feature. But then again. Its only 3G so it may not be worth it.
