Help Moto G KitKat OTG Support?

I'm trying to find out if the Moto G running KitKat supports On The Go USB connectivity?

Some reports say this feature was removed in a recent upgrade to KitKat while others say it still works.

If it does still work, are any other apps or root access required?

Also, what can be attached to the OTG USB cable?
- usb drives?
- receivers?

Also, can the Moto G screencast its display to a TV or monitor in any way? Just thinking if it could, then a keyboard and mouse could be attached via USB and it could be used to write with.

Thanks!

I don't know abbout the rest, but

Drives if they're externally powered or can run on the little bit of power the phone can supply (or you get a Y cable that lets you power them separately. Flash drives, card readers.

What kind of receivers?

Keyboards, mice. You'll have to get a USB splitter (not a hub) if you want to run more than one device at a time.

Basically, OTG turns the phone into a USB host, but with no drivers. So anything that can run natively, without a driver (like a keyboard or a mouse, or memory) should work. If it needs drivers to run in Windows it probably won't.
