Help Moto G lockscreen help!

LesWriggs

Lurker
So I installed the StumbleUpon app and it decided to change my blank lockscreen wallpaper (default) to some image it fetched off its servers. Not only does it now appear everytime I unlock my phone but it will also appear as a background when switching tasks.

Moto G doesn't provide a simply way to change the lockscreen (no idea why) but this is infuriating and hopefully someone can offer a method of returning it to blank without rooting/factory reset/screen unlocker apps (i like the standard one) etc.

After all if the StumbleUpon app managed to do it without root, surely there is a way.

Many thanks for any advice.

I do not use StumbleUpon. Did you try uninstalling StumbleUpon and then rebooting (power off/power on)?

Hi,

Yes I did try this, I think there is no solution than to factory reset as it seems well and truely locked (with a picture of Mario no less..)

Thanks for your advice nonetheless.

Re-install StumbleUpon and let it run until there is a picture you like ... then uninstall StumbleUpon?

Hi,

Yes I also thought along the same lines but sadly it didn't do it again to a more suitable picture.

I've done a factory reset and redesigned a new home screen now and reloaded everything.

Thanks for your help, will figure out how to close the thread later
