Help moto g notifications

Hello,
my moto g was set to sound when email or text was received, and worked,
now it only works when it feels like it.
any help out there please.

Welcome to Android Forums.

My guess is that it is caused by an app that you added.

Try running in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without uninstalling them) and if the problem stops it is caused by an app that you added.

Happened to me this morning, never had a sound issue before and text and emails were sounding off fine yesterday, this morning my alarm went off but on screen only no sound. Checked all sounds and nothing was making a noise. Got it back by rebooting the phone.
